Plot Application Form & Waiting List
If you would like to join our group and apply for an allotment, our application form can be downloaded (below) as a PDF, completed and returned to our lettings officer.
We usually have a waiting list of between 15-20 people which normally equates to a waiting time of between 12-18 months.
If you would like to apply for a plot at Beighton Allotments (Orchard Lane), a PDF copy of the application form is downloadable opposite by clicking on the "pop-out" in the top right corner. It will then appear in whichever PDF reader you use. Please print it, complete it, and return it to us.
This is the application form to complete and return to the allotment shop on any Saturday or Sunday morning between 10am and 12noon from the first weekend in February to the last weekend in October which is when the shop will be open.
"In season", you will then be asked to become an Associate Member (costing £2) which will give you the right to buy anything from the shop and participate in the Kings Seeds Discount Scheme. You will also be given a rough indication of when you are likely to get a plot (though this is not guaranteed and can vary based on time of year, and other vagaries).
If you want to join in November through to January i.e. "Out of Season", please either scan your completed form, or take a photo of it, and return it to our Lettings Officer at, beightonallotmentassociation@gmail.com to save your place on the waiting list. You can then become an Associated Member when the shop re-opens the following February.

Waiting List Information
Please note : the waiting list is updated approximately once a month and will be on display both on the allotment cabin, and with a slight delay, here on the website.
You will be contacted by our Lettings Officer when you get towards the top of our waiting list , there is no need to contact us directly. You can see who the Lettings Officer is on our Committee Member Page.
We roughly have a turnover of just over one plot per month, however they are given up sporadically throughout the year and a waiting list of 15 people means you will get a plot in around a years time. You can be offered a plot at any time of the year.
Occasionally we have existing members / plot holders who are willing to share their plots on a temporary basis with people on the waiting list. If this is something which you would like to consider, please discuss it with the lettings officer when you put your name on the waiting list.
